Intermediate Seminar: Physics 172.711-712

Fall of 2003 and Spring of 2004

Meets Tuesday at noon in Bloomberg 361

Attendance is required at EVERY seminar. (If you must miss, please get permission first)

The speaker is responsible for providing the overhead projector, etc.

Fall talks are 20 minutes + 5 minutes discussion (sharp cutoff!)

Spring talks will be cut off sharply at 45 minutes (so as to allow 5 minutes discussion)

Your fall (short) paper must be published (by you) on the World Wide Web: please give me the URL when it becomes available

Your spring (long) paper must be prepared (by you) in TeX, nominally for ApJ or Phys Rev

Your Grade is 25% each talk, 25% your web paper, 25% your TeX paper

Speakers may exchange dates by mutual agreement (but BOTH parties must notify me immediately, via email only!)
